Along with the international requirement for periodic servicing of Navigation and Communication equipment the following are specific requirement as per PMMRR of 1997 and MARINA regulations.

• Annual testing of the Automatic Identification System (AIS) per MARINA – SOLAS V/18.9 requirement.
• Annual testing of Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) according to MSC.1/Circ.1040/Rev.1 (SOLAS IV/15.9.1)
• Annual testing of the Radar Transponder (SART) as per MARINA regulation IX/10 – Operational Readiness,
  Maintenance and Inspections. Paragraph 5.
• Annual servicing and adjustment (as required) of Magnetic Compass used for Navigation.
